Do I need UK travel insurance for my staycation?
Whether your staycation is a romantic long weekend, a UK family holiday or a weekend adventure trip we’re sure you’ll have added peace of mind if you choose to purchase UK travel insurance.
Here’s a few reasons why UK travel insurance is a good idea:
If you have booked two nights or more somewhere in the United Kingdom our travel insurance will cover you for the cost of any pre-booked accommodation which cannot be used.
Any additional pre-paid excursions, transport and additional travel expenses you may have arranged as part of your trip at the time of booking are also covered.
As with all our travel insurance policies kids are covered for free, with up to four children covered per policy.
There is added peace of mind with having your personal possessions covered (up to the policy limit) in the event of loss, theft or damage. We also offer additional cover for Gadgets, Golf, Wedding and Business equipment so all eventualities are taken care of.
Lastly, our Single Trip policies can provide cover for duration’s up to 365 days for one trip, or you could choose one of our European Annual Multi Trip policies instead, covering you for as many trips as you wish to take in a 12 month period throughout Europe and the UK.
Some of our favourite Staycation destinations:
The Lake District
Boasting almost 900 square miles of lakes, waters, meres, forests and rolling hills, the stunning beauty of the Lake District is the perfect getaway for those looking to relax, explore and be inspired.
Along with the perfect scenery there is a wide selection of places to eat and stay. You can choose to stay in a perfect Bed & Breakfast cottage nestled on a hillside, a luxurious hotel next to one of the many meres, waters or lakes, or maybe a traditional Country Inn located in one of the many picturesque towns or villages. For the more adventurous visitor there are many glamping, camping and caravan sites to suite all tastes as well as log cabins situated in areas of natural beauty.
Adventure sports are also a common theme in the Lake District with many activities available, such as Mountain Biking, Tree canopy walking, zip lining, mountaineering, climbing and many more. Most of which are covered as standard on all our policies with additional levels of Adventure Travel Insurance available for those more extreme activities.
