Can I Cancel my policy if the terms and conditions do not meet my requirements?
Important – Applicable to all policies:
We will not refund the premium if you have travelled on the policy, or if you have made or if you intend to make a claim or an incident has occurred which is likely to give rise to a claim.
To cancel your policy, you must contact Now Travel Insurance by phoning 01702 427281, or emailing enquiries@nowtravelinsurance.com or by writing to Now Travel Insurance, 308-314 London Road, Hadleigh, Benfleet SS7 2DD.
- If You wish to cancel the policy within the 14-day cooling off period
If you decide this policy is not suitable for you and you want to cancel your policy, you must contact Direct Travel Insurance within fourteen (14) days of buying the policy or the date you receive your policy documents. Any premium already paid will be refunded to you in full.
- If You wish to cancel the policy outside the 14-day cooling off period

For single trip policies:
If you cancel the policy at any time after the fourteen (14) day cooling off period, you will be entitled to a refund of the premium paid, subject to a deduction of 30% for the cancellation cover you have received.

For annual multi trip policies:
If cover has started, you will be entitled to a pro-rata refund of premium, in accordance with the amounts shown below:

Our right to cancel the policy
We have the right to cancel this policy by giving at least thirty (30) days’ notice in writing to the policyholder at their last known address where we have serious grounds for doing so, including any failure by you to comply with the conditions on page 21 and 22 of this policy which is incapable of remedy or which you fail to remedy within fourteen (14) days of receiving a notice from us requiring you to remedy the breach. A proportionate refund of the premium paid will be made to the policyholder from the date we cancel the policy.

My flight has been delayed – what should I do?
In the first instance, please contact your airline check the status of your flight.
If your flight is delayed for more than 12 hours, all of our policies offer a Travel Delay benefit. This is designed to help you pay for telephone calls, meals and refreshments purchased during the delay.
Please note: If the delay of your flight will cause you to return on a date later than covered under your policy, your policy will automatically extend, without the need to contact us. This is subject to you returning on the first available alternative flight offered by your travel provider and you providing proof of this.
I haven’t received my quote or purchase email – what should I do?
If your email doesn’t appear shortly after saving a quote or purchasing a policy please check your junk and/or spam folders before contacting us.
If, after checking these folders, you still can’t locate a confirmation email please call us on 01702 427 281 and one of our agents will be able to help.
I’m abroad and I would like to stay longer, can I extend my policy?
If your policy hasn’t yet expired, there is no change to the health of anyone insured under the policy, no claims have been made or are intended to be made, then please contact us with details of your situation and this will be considered on a case by case basis.
Can policy documents be sent by post?
We can do this but they will be black and white print-outs only as we try not to send documents out via the post to help us be a greener company. All correspondence are managed electronically via email and SMS and all documentation is sent to your email in user friendly PDF format.
Can I travel to Cuba on a NOW policy?
Yes, our Worldwide travel insurance covers trips to Cuba, the USA, Canada and the Caribbean. Simply select the “Worldwide (All)” destination on the first stage of our online quote process.
Do Annual policies cover trips in the UK?
Yes, our annual travel insurance covers trips within the UK, provided that you have at least two nights pre-booked accommodation that is away from your normal place of residence.
How many times can I travel on an annual policy?
You can travel an unlimited number of times during the 12 month period of your cover.
How many children can be covered under a family policy?
Any number of dependent children can be covered on a family travel insurance policy
Can we travel independently on an annual policy?
If you have an Annual multi trip policy, all insured persons are insured to travel on their own (children must be accompanied by a responsible adult).
What documents should I take on holiday?
We always strongly recommend being able to access a copy of our Policy wording along with your certificate(s) of cover. These will be emailed to you once you have purchased a policy in the form of a PDF document, meaning you can access them on your mobile phone, tablet or laptop whilst away.
If you provide a mobile number during the purchase process you will receive an SMS containing your Policy Number and Emergency contact number, meaning you have direct access to these whilst away.
How long is a quote valid for?
A saved quote is valid for a maximum of 14 days, less if your travel start date is within this period.
What area covers Turkey/Egypt/Morocco & Tunisia?
Worldwide – excluding Canada, Caribbean, Mexico and USA.

Can a child under the age of 18 have a policy on their own?
No. However we do cover dependent children under the age of 18 on our family travel insurance policies.
Do all benefits apply to all ages?
Yes, with exception of Personal Accident that has an age cover limit of 65
